During this season of both thanks and giving, I’d like to say a big “thank you” and Merry Christmas to the many school teachers, librarians, cultural arts representatives, elementary school staffs and corporate clients with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past year! Here’s just one example of the joy I receive when working on projects associated with kids.  I recently created a Christmas coloring page for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Dept. to use at their many Explorer’s Christmas Project outreach events.  I attended one such event, the “Eggnog Jog” at the Charlotte Motor Speedway- and was gifted my own “Officer Blue” coloring page, colored nicely by a very young artist named Khylen!    I always enjoy the gift of art!  Officer Blue is the CMPD’s mascot and is utilized for educational events organized through the community services division.  I was fortunate enough to have designed the costume character version of Officer Blue a few years back for the awesome Grey Seal Puppets company, who fabricated the costume.  2017 also saw me complete a 24-page story and activity book for the CMPD, focused on bullying and safety for children, which they distribute throughout CMS schools and at community events.  I am happy to be a part of this educational initiative and for the opportunity to continue working with 2 great clients, the CMPD and Grey Seal Puppets!  Merry Christmas!!!
